Who this notice covers
Somagidi Tanker Services (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information you send to the business through its enquiry channels. Our address is 25602 Mgidlana Street, Asanda Village, Strand, Cape Town, 7140. For privacy requests, contact info@somagidi.co.za or 073 971 7375 and ask for the person responsible for information protection.
Information you choose to provide
Our enquiry form asks for your name, contact details, product, estimated quantity and delivery area. Company, preferred date and notes help us understand your request. Required fields are needed to process a useful enquiry; you can instead contact us directly. Please do not include identity documents, payment-card information or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
How enquiries work
Selecting Send enquiry submits your details to our website server, which verifies the security token with Cloudflare Turnstile and passes your enquiry to our hosting mail service for info@somagidi.co.za. Mail-server acceptance does not guarantee inbox delivery. The WhatsApp option prepares a draft that you review and send in WhatsApp. Somagidi uses received messages to respond, prepare a quotation and discuss supply or delivery. Submitting an enquiry does not confirm an order or subscribe you to marketing.
Website measurement and your choices
Optional Google Analytics measures page visits and contact-button clicks only after you opt in. Choosing Yes, allow also enables advertising measurement to connect visits and contact clicks with Google Ads. Allow analytics only does not enable advertising measurement. Personalised advertising remains disabled. Contact clicks are not proof of a sent message, completed call or sale. Enquiry fields and message contents are not sent to Analytics.
Google may process online identifiers, device and browser information, page addresses and measurement events. We exclude enquiry text from measurement URLs. Google Ads click identifiers may be used when you permit advertising measurement. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days; Analytics and advertising services may also set their own cookies after consent. Declining optional measurement does not prevent you using the website.
Privacy choices
Change or withdraw your optional measurement permission for this browser at any time. Withdrawal affects future measurement and does not undo earlier processing.
Service providers and external links
Website hosting services can process IP addresses and access logs to deliver and protect the site. Website fonts are served locally by our website hosting provider. Cloudflare Turnstile processes security and browser signals to prevent spam. Enquiry text is not sent to Cloudflare by our server. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Hosting and email providers process online enquiries, and WhatsApp processes messages sent through its service. Google and WhatsApp links take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. See Google’s privacy policy and WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
Use, sharing and international processing
Enquiry information is used to handle your request and any resulting business relationship. Processing can be necessary to take steps toward a contract, meet legal duties or pursue a lawful business interest; optional website measurement uses your permission. External providers may process information outside South Africa. Applicable POPIA requirements, including those for cross-border transfers, continue to apply. Contact us for information about recipients relevant to your enquiry.
Retention and security
The website has no enquiry database. Enquiry details are processed transiently for email delivery. Short-lived rate-limit records contain a hashed network identifier and attempt counts; expired records are removed on subsequent submissions. Messages you send are held in the business’s communication systems; transaction records can have separate legal retention requirements. Ask us about retention or deletion of a particular record. No online channel can be guaranteed risk-free. Avoid sending sensitive documents through this enquiry form.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may request access to personal information held about you, correction or deletion, object to processing where applicable, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Contact us first using the details above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa; official request forms are available on its POPIA forms page.
